Aha! Thought so, found a reference at The British Film Institute.
The LONGWOOD THUMP (1984) "Documentary which looks at the build-up to a Morris dancing festival at August bank holiday by the men of the Saddleworth dancing team."
Might be worth getting in touch with them.
