Re: Liam's Brother--Hannah Snell: A friend of mine has written a song about Mary Lacy, another woman who spent a number of years in the Royal Navy disguised as a man, in the late 1700's. In the autobiographical sketch she later wrote, she mentions being very popular with the ladies and having a number of girlfriends. It's obvious where her interests lay, but it's also hard to conceive that all those various lady friends had no idea she was a woman.
