HEY! This IS a song for current times! We sang it when I was at Strand on the Green Infant and Junior School, Chiswick at my time there, 1965-72. I am now Director of Music at a large west London school. I have just woken up from a dream in which I was teaching a fellow musician this song. In the dream, he remembered it too after sang and played it from memory. (is this 'sad'? NO! I live music!) Thanks to the people on this website for recording these words! I will be teaching this song at my school next week.
