I only met Malcolm face to face a couple of times at Cecil Sharp House but on the too frequent occasions when I phoned the library with a desperate request he always took the time to try to find me an answer. Even though I haven't done it for several years, it was always a comfort to know that Malcolm's patience and knowledge were there.

He'll be sorely missed.
