It will be interesting to see if any of the remains show signs of blunt trauma injury or other evidence of violence. It's odd that all 57 ended up dead when in even the worst breakout of cholera 40-50% should have survived. At the time Irish immigrants were being blamed for bringing cholera to America and were sometimes killed pre-emptively to stop its spread. There should be some interesting follow up on this in the next weeks. I will follow this story with interest.
