I took them regularly and they were very helpful. They did not hurt at all. Vitamin B12 does not act like a stimulant as does caffiene or steroids. It gives you the strength that you would normally have if you did not have the defficiency. In my case it cured my anemia.
If your doctor says take it heed his or her advice and you will be better off for it.
