Since I don't use the blickifier, perhaps I shouldn't speculate, but it appears that when you type (or paste) a URL that lacks the "http://" at the beginning, the mudcat blickifier assumes it's meant as a local link so it adds "http://www.mudcat.org/" to the front of it.

A "mouse hover" over a link shows the target URL on a toolbar in my browser, so it's fairly easily seen that a very high percentage of "broken blickifications" do include an extraneous "mudcat.org/" bit.

While in the philosophical sense all the worthy parts of the universe are to be found right here within the mudcat, it appears that looking on the inside-of-here for places that foolishly believe they have an external existence sometimes doesn't work all that well. It's just a matter of pathological denial of the truth and meaning of "existing" on their part, I would suppose.
