I think it is much worse than that, Mortie. Rumor has it that Simon was "playing in another frog's pond" so to speak. Mr. and Mrs. Mouse are now in counseling with some legal papers having been exchanged. Grey mice rearely give birth to golden babies so, or so I have heard, there is DNA testing being done. Simon just doesn't want a commitment and certainly is in no position to support eight babies. This is going to get ugly.
