There are so many ways of playing guitar that it's nearly impossible to describe them all, however if a player is struggling, that's the time to consider change. I am a sloppy player sometimes, and I study and labour to improve, but a labour job, hand wearying hobbies, and so on make it hard to stay at peak form as a guitarist.
