Egos are easily disgusted, TIA. Easily outraged. Easily offended. Easily upset. Easily put on the warpath. It is part and parcel of their defensive and reactive nature.

A reading of either of those will serve well to explain just how reactive and combative and addicted to blame and accusation the normal human ego is, how quick to find "enemies", and how unwilling to pardon or forgive a perceived slight.
