The Beatles NEVER did this song. I would put loads and loads of cash on that bet! The Byrds did that one and yes it was from Pete Seeger who also somehow gave us "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". Of course his version wasn't a New York a-capella with opera singers set to the African folk tune!!
