"Turn Turn Turn" (except for those three words) comes from Ecclesiastes 3:1-8.
I wonder if anybody has tried to make a song out of the beginning of Ecclesiastes:

Vanity of Vanities, saith the Preacher,
Vanity of Vanities, all is vanity.

Don't ponder that too long...

So, tell me, what the heck do the words "turn, turn, turn" have to do with the rest of the song?
