Don't know why I came to check out this thread again, but I want to tell "guest Voice" that I did not know Jim Crosbie, but was often a guest at the "Farm House" owned by Joan Crosbie and her husband, whose name escapes me. The last I heard, the eldest son, Francis and his wife own it............Anyway, The song was sung so many times in the "Oak Tree Lounge" , where I also stayed once in a while, and "White's Pub" by Mickey Sinnott that I would almost bet that the owners of either place know it's history.   Everyone who heard it seemed curious about it at the time.........
