I don't wear close-fitting sandals with out socks because the insole makes my feet sweaty and malodorous. I don't wear sandals with socks because it makes me look like Mr Prior, the elderly neighbor I had when I was a kid.
The solution? Flipflops. They are loose fitting and allow my feet to air. Now it's just that damn thing between my toes that bugs me.
