Didn't it happen with The World Turnd Up Side Down (Loen Rosselson's musical interpretation of Gerald Winstanley's words?), when a BBC Radio One DJ liked he song and boosted the career of Billy Bragg?

Far better than "Lost my Lorv in LA" type songs the mainstream normally churns out!
