Hi, Thomas! Priscilla Herdman recorded a beautiful version of Jock O'Hazeldean on her first album, The Water Lily. Also on that album, I've always liked Do You Think That I Do Not Know, though it's a bit sadder than I think you're looking for. Wow, so many others...Fred Small's Jimmy Come Lately and, oh, don't think I know the title:

May the rain run off your shoulder when you're caught in a storm
When the frost comes a-callin' may it find you safe and warm
May your place be set, may your promises be kept
May you never forget you are loved

Several by Gordon Bok, Hearth and Fire and Turning Toward the Morning come to mind, Bob Franke's Thanksgiving Eve (in fact, just about anything by Bob Franke), a song called On Your Way Home by Luther Schutz. And then the ancient ones: Lady Franklin's Lament, Thousands Or More, oh, where is my songbook when I need it? I'll stop now and get back to work, and try to add more later. Thanks for starting this thread. And Joe, I promise to check the DT and add those from the above list that aren't in there--at least the ones I remember the words to!

Aloha,
Mark
