San Francisco, my favorite city.

Harris Steakhouse, 2100 Van Ness, San Francisco. The best steaks bar none.
Dinner Menu- Harris Restaurant

Motel, an oldie but a goodie, about $60, on 2850 Van Ness, near Lombard, San Francisco. Two stories of rooms above parking, in a "U" arrangement off the street. Close (one block) to the cable car that runs from downtown to the wharf. Many reasonable eateries close by, to make up for the fairly expensive Harris.

Lots to do and see in San Francisco. Don't miss the old mission Saint Francis de Asis. Dating from the 1790s, it is the oldest building in San Francisco.

A walk up Nob Hill if you need exercise. And in spite of the 1906 fire, there are many pre-fire houses. Victorian houses near Lafayette Square, and Alamo Square ('postcard row').The 'old money' Pacific Heights neighborhood.
North Beach for City Lights Bookstore, and a variety of little businesses.

Gay Pride activities start June 14, so you will miss that.

Too much to see!
