Yesterday was the 40th Anniversary Midwinter of the '69 Mawson ANARE and, due to finances being a bit tight (daughter #2 is having a school trip to Japan, braving the pig flu kerfuffle), I was unable to join them in Hobart. But I raised a glass "to absent friends" which includes all you 'catters.
