I had a Dachshund--he died last year of old age--and you could literally pick him up and tie him in a knot, and he wouldn't bite you. However, if you tried to intervene while he was eating--pick a bowl up off the floor that he was licking, or something--he'd take your hand off at the wrist.
          I have a Weimaraner now, and I can't think of anything you could do to make him bite you. If he ever bit anyone I'd place a call to "Ripley's Believe It Or Not."
