Thread Name: Sweet Magical Songs Needed
Subject: RE: Sweet Magical Songs Needed
Well, when I hear "sweet and magical" I have to think of the Incredible String Band. How about "Tree" (the version on the first album rather than the one on Liquid Acrobat), "Painting Box" on 5000 Spirits, "Witch's Hat" on Hangman's Beautiful Daughter, "Lordly Nightshade" on Wee Tam and the Big Huge, "Bridge Song" on U, "Red Hair" on Liquid Acrobat, "Sunday Song" and "Seagull" on Earthspan (love that Heron and McKechnie combo!), "This Moment" on I Looked Up . . . really, it's an embarrassment of riches we're dealing with here, and I guess this post means I've just come out of the ISB fanatic closet. . . but right this very moment I am totally entranced with Dylan's "Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands." Not sweet, perhaps, but magical. Mmmmm.
