Back to Saffron - yes it can be grown in England and was in the nineteenth century. It's where Saffron Waldron in Esesx gets it's name. As we're on to the cookery theme can someone give me any idea what to do with 4 pounds of redcurrants? I've just made several jars of Gooseberry and redcurrant jam but I've still got the curranst and another 4 pounds of gooseberries in the freezer plus a couple of pounds of raspberries. All recipes gratefully received. Kevin (Clogs), further to tasting your lovely vodka's. have you tried making lemoncello, it looks fabulous, just needs 4-6 months to mature.
