Try the Fairport bash at Cropredy and hire a narrowboat from Banbury - you can moor up as close as you want to be - the canal gets to within about 100 yards of the stage. This year's line-up (details here ) includes Incredible String Band, Albion Band, Spank the Monkey, All about Eve and Priory of Brion (Robert Plant's new band). Plus, no doubt, all the usual Fairporters - Richard Thompson, Swarb, Ian Matthews, etc, etc.
