For my dry flies I have all the orvis stuff but what I normally use to keep them floating is either some beeswax or even good old vaseline petroleum jelly. Much cheaper and works better I think. I caught a lot of fish using both. However you have given me a thought on using WD-40 on em. Never tried it ... if it works on lures .. why not
