A Polish pilot addressing the pupils at a very refined girls school, was explaining how he had downed three enemy planes.

"They vos lined up in a row, zese three Fokkers, und I passed along ze line wiz guns firing, und all three burst into flames" he said.

The headmistress jumped in quickly. "Now gels", she said, "I should explain that the Fokker was a make of German aircraft".

"Yes Missis", said the Pole, "but zese Fokkers voss Messerschmidts".
