Truly public campground--Housatonic Meadows State Park is only a few miles South on US 7, on the Sharon side of the river across from Cornwall.

Music Mountain is north of the Cornwall/Canaan town line, in the town of Cannan--not to be confused with the village of Canaan, which is in the town of North Canaan. (The village of South Canaan is in the town of Canaan, as is the village called Falls Village.) And of course, New Canaan is 75 miles away.
