I get stuck with just a couple of chords or a chorus - that 's the worst thing.... endlessly humming or tum te tumming the same four or eight f**king bars...! it's doing it now, with a really and I mean REALLY crappy song from church on Sunday. Verse was OK, a bit monosyllabic and only on 3 notes, but the chorus............. Three words, repeated three times each, each of two syllables. Spread over 32 bars............eeeeuuuuurgh.. Trouble is, the harmony and accompaniament were quite good.

And what about 'Grandma, we love you?' Thank you Jonathan King for 'Everyone's gone to the moon', the tune of which has been used for another banal Christian song.....

And something that will really get up Morticia's nose - a certain little electronic toothbrush song that went....

Ah the day that toothbrush died, there were shouts of huzzah and sighs of relief the length and breadth of Britain.....
