One more quick thing.... on the question of democracy in the Northern counties of Ireland, at the time the armed insurection began, there was no place for the majority of the Catholic community in occupied Ireland. One by-product of both armed resistance and the civil rights movement has been greater access to democratic systems, though things have yet to be equal... gotta run and make dinner for my sweetie...
