Repatriation is one thing, with or without socks, but dumping a chap from a great height of unreliable availability without adequate nether-garments just isn't cricket, even with a parachute. Standards of decency have to be maintained in any civilised society, and we have a duty to set an example to those less blessed by evolution than our good selves. Dammit, we aren't savages. Don't forget, not only did we invent evolution itself, we also invented America (and that other bit just above it) and wrote Beethoven's 9th.
