Of course you're right, Ron. My fault for putting him on a pedestal when I was 15. But hey, I didn't know better, and neither he nor the music media of the day discouraged me. Quite the opposite. Whatever, the fact remains that for many years he represented something of what I wanted to be like. So it is natural for me to feel the loss - no matter whose fault it is. I don't blame him, I just disagree with him.
