Thread Name: fermented fruit drinks ?

Prison hooch is called "Pruno" for obvious reasons.

A remarkably similar "champagn" is made with lemons and cane sugar.

Ginger Beer - the British stuff - homemade can have a real kick.

Dandilion Wine - my recipe has oranges and lemons in it (aunt's)

Checking an index of my first fermentation book we also have:

Rhubard
Damsom
Flowers
Wheat and Raisin, Kibble Maise and Dates
Parsnip Vino
Vin Fin - (Beet Wine)

And finally Meadon Whisky (he writes Marigold - but I am sure he must been the "pot marigod - winter marigod" that is Calandula.

Collins Nut-shell Book by H. E. Bravery 1963

At the universiy I was infamous for the high potency alcoholic root beer that brewed in a 15 gallon keg used as a desk stool.
