No, it is just the replacement of a rotten tooth. The place was held for years by a simple crown but it gave way. Once you are through the hassle of getting the socket put in it is smooth sailing and you have a bullet-proof tooth permanently in place, immune to decay and looking beautiful. Mind you, looking beautiful means a lot less these days, and is much more flexibly defined than it was when I was a youth!! :D
