Sad news indeed. Dave & Doreen have done sterling work over many years keeping it going. The club came out of The Courthouse Community Centre's Common Roots club which BB and I started - London's first, and only, multicultural folk club - but that's a different story. When Common Roots finished (even I couldn't get my employers to carry on funding the idea - they were Maggie's flagship Council!) the committee for Court Sessions came together - the club first met at The Courthouse Community Centre - then Wandsworth Council turned that into a museum (some would say....) and the club moved to the Old Sergeant, thence to Tooting, Streatham, and so onwards.
