Was saddened to hear the news.
Pat and I were two of the helpers/residents who joined Tom and Barbara and took the club over, along with Colin Meadows, Dave and Doreen... et al, when Common Roots went belly-up, first at the Courthouse, then to somewhere at the other end of Garrett Lane (The Stirling Castle)???? I honestly don't remember being at The Old Sargeant, which was our local - confirm this Tom!
Remember wonderful nights with Gordeanna McCulloch and Sarah Grey; the last session we were at featured the magnificent Brendan McGlinchy and Oliver Mulligan.
