Hi:

The version my Dad sang in the 30's didn't have the lines about the feet growing weary in the chorus.

After the chorus he sang "Will I ride up to the pearly gates of glory,.... in the fold. Oh, a million miles I've travelled and amillion.....soon to be." followed by the chorus.

My Dad has been gone for 55 years now and every time I sing that song it brings tears to my eyes.
