Subject: RE: Winfield 2009 - Walnut Valley Festival
I'll give a second (or third) on the opinion about great pictures; but then we expect that of someone who cheats and only takes (mostly) daytime shots. I like the challenge of getting the street stomp stuff, and someday I'm gonna get a good one too.

I'll confess to "lifting" one shot for my kid. He seems to think he's found a friend and has been asking us for pictures which - unfortunately - we didn't know we were supposed to be taking. (We're pretty sure at least one of the other camp followers did get some he'll like.)

We're waiting for contributions from a couple of people who promised to send us their pictures to post, and may wait until we've got a decent web connection*; but Lin is getting anxious about getting another thousand or so shots posted on our web site. We'll remind y'all of the URL when we get something up.

* The Winfield wifi guy brought out a new repeater just for us when I called about a lost connection, and he moved it to keep it really close when we moved to get closer to water, so we have a fairly strong signal now; but the server/setup still clinks and clanks like it did during the festival. I think the signal was good enough without the repeater. It's the amateur web design that's the weak link; but I'm too busy resting up for next year to worry too much about the why and whether.

The campground is at about midpoint of a "Good Sam" rally, but we're still camped in the Pecan Grove and all of their campers are too big to park on the grass, so they haven't intruded on our solitude except for a fair bit of windblown trash. We've heard that there's a "frisbie golf" tournament coming in soon. That may be more interesting - although it's not likely to match the county fair they put on for us when we arrived in mid July.
