Mmario, any future relatives who get born, married, baptized or what-have-you that weekend next year will simply have to do it in West River, Maryland. Please explain this to them early and clearly and make absolutely sure they have grasped the concept.

And Mary, don't make me come up there... (Well, actually, DO make me come up there, but just to visit; don't make me come up there to drag you down to the Getaway.)

Bobert, I forgot to mention you in the list of people it's a pleasure to know better -- and to hear better! That's some damn fine blues you be pickin'. And thanks for the conversation.

I have neglected to adequately thank all the Getaway organizers. I've thanked in person those I know about and could find at the end of the weekend, but I know there are many of you I haven't met or whose roles I don't suspect. So thank you one and all for working so hard to put on this wonderful, unique event that is the highlight of my year.
