Remember EVERY day. And when the Parliament or Congress or whatever comes around saying, "We just can't afford to care for our veterans" remind them that it was THEY who sent them out, 'cause they sure wouldn't voluntarily walk into Hell. Remind them of missing jaws and traumatically amputated limbs, of blindness and traumatic brain injury, of deafness and PTSD, of the lives ruined on and off the battle field. Then ask them if they can EVER repay the debt.
