Tain't fair. I've been good. I eat my peas, donate to public radio, am kind to old ladies, and don't spend nearly as much insulting the rest of you as does Amos.

The last luxury place I stayed in was the Motel 6 in Wytheville, VA. What was so luxurious about it was the room had enough towels, the ice machine worked, and it offered a choice of fine dining experiences near by, such as Cracker Barrel, Bob Evans, Shoney's, Wendy's, Subway and the restaurant in the truck stop across the highway. McDonald's, however, was a mile and half away, next to the strip mall on US 52.

The motel sits up on top of a hill. Everything in Wytheville sits up on top of a hill.   So it also offered a panoramic view of I-77/I-81 below.
