As for being offended, You might be offended, too, if you had a belief in another religion and everyone kept assuming you were Christian. Neither Ramadan nor Hannukah is an equivalency to Christmas in their religions. Our (Christians and Christian-heritage people) ability to "ignore" those two celebrations is made a lot easier by the fact that they make so little a dent in media and marketing.

I said years ago that I'd believe the old bigot's saw about Jews controlling the media as soon as I saw "It's Hannukah, Charlie Brown!"
