Makin somthin funny to a *polarized audience has some rules...Yep ya gotta be willin to insult both sides at once so that they know it. That way both sides can laugh at each other with impunity while the comic gets the credit.

It even works for 'stupid smart'. It used to work in the reverse with Laurel and Hardy but now 'stupid smart' is the sole domain of redneck humor or merely repeating the words out loud and slowly of any of the new Republican leaders.
