Hi all, Cropredy was indeed wonderful and passed far too quickly. Glad for the confirmation of my opinion of Planty: glad to have seen him but wouldn't choose to do so again. I left part way through his set to fetch jumpers and coffee/hot chocolate, much to my friend's amusement- he thought I should have plied him with stimulants other than caffeine while watching such a Rock God!! :0D

I much preferred the stage manner of all the other performers. Fairport were of course brill, including the resurrection of Leonard Cohen's Suzanne. Stackridge were great fun, and I had never seen Show of Hands before- I'd love to see them again, soon.

An extra treat was the surprise appearance during the Fairport set of Roger Hodgson, and a set of Supertramp hits which they'd not rehearsed together! Wonderful stuff.

Lovely to meet you Bron. I walked round on Sunday with my Mudcat t-shirt over my shoulders as it was too hot to wear it, and enjoyed hanging out at the hobgoblin stall. I didn't return on the Sunday as I'd just got word that my father-in-law had died, so we were packing up in the afternoon ready to leave straight after Fairport. (Pa-in-law had been very interested in the much anticipated weekend and wouldn't have wanted me to miss the main event.) Hence I won't be around the Mudcat Café so much for a while, occupied elsewhere. Catch up with you all again soon, I hope.
