Little Hawk - My hamster isn't too noisy if I give her carrots to wear down her teeth - she doesn't chew on the bars so much then. And I tied the exercise wheel up of the floor of the cage with a contraption of twist ties and elastic bands. Before I did that the weight of her as she was running would slowly cause the wheel to sink, and it would start rasping against the floor of the cage. VERY LOUD! Especially at 3 o'clock in the morning when you've just finally managed to sleep...

Ella - hamsters smell? I hadn't noticed. (I hope that doesn't mean I smell worse than she does!)

Mosquitoes are the worst for me.
The sound just sets me on edge, and I can't stand them crawling on me. The one good thing from it is that I haven't been bitten by any of them for years, since I'm so hypersensitive I smack them off as soon as they land!
It's really strange, if there's only one or two, sometimes I'm more scared. I guess cause ya never know *when* they're going to come after ya.
Even thinking about them I start shuddering reflexively.

I'm fine with most creepy crawlies, as long as
a) they're not in the house
b) they're in the house but harmless
c) I have a container to catch them in if they're poisonous and inside the house

Spiders are fine (and they eat mosquitoes!), snakes are cool (although we don't have rattlers here), moths just startle me, I love bats, mice are cute but messy, insomnia only scares me when I have to get up early.

I was afraid of a glass once when I was really suicidal. I had a vivid picture of me breaking it and slashing my wrists. That part of my life is over now, and I never want to feel that way again.

I am afraid of cold, too. And crazy drivers. And what I could do if I ever got *really* angry.
