Poem 190 of 230: BIRDWATCHERS' BUDE - WINTER 2001/2
Behind the Tourist Centre, Between canal and river, On the marshy drained floodplain (Not now visited by train), In among willow and reed, Eking out some winter feed: Treecreepers, bobbing robins, Chirpy blue-tits, grey-herons, The screams of water-rail, And snipe sharp on their trail. Plus, out along limestone down, Soaring seabirds can be found.
