It is our family tradition for the eldest son present to recite this version at the Christmas table when the pudding is served-

It was Christmas day in the work house,
The day of all the year,
The workers hearts were filled with joy,
And their stomachs full of beer,
When one bold and brazen worker,
With a face as bold as brass,
Said 'we dont want your Christmas pudding',
'You can shove it up, in the pantry...
