This year can't leave fast enough. We have lots to celebrate - the Grammy, Maeve and Trulove's escape, my new mortgage, lots of new CDs, a new president, - work with me here. Add to the list. We'll toast a goodbye to those we lost.

Please do not spend money on gifts. This year especially there are too many who have nothing. Donate! Donate! Donate! Of course I have one truly crappy gift - it's for Linn and Tom and bought this summer in a moment's weakness. The frog that arrived this week is gift enough from and for all.

Sitdown dinner at 6PM. Appetisers. Ham + assorted veggies. Champagne, wine, assorted desserts. Coffee, tea, maybe hot apple cider.
And whatever comes in the door.
