Maeve, Dear One, thanks for posting. May you and TL find solace and peace, as well as strength, with one another. And, I, too, give thanks for an early Spring for you and your home.
We are having an extra cold winter, unusual for here, so we've been putting out extra seed for the birds. I have a lot of juncos, red-breasted finches, some other small birds I am not sure of what they are, and some beautiful mourning doves who are so funny/pompous looking when they fly down to the feeding table and walk around, tapping away at the seed. They remind me of Shultz on Hogan's Heroes.:-)
