Thread Name: BS: Term for predictive text mondegreens
Subject: BS: Term for predictive text mondegreens
If we've ever used predictive text, I'm sure we've all send a garbled message due to accidentally selecting the wrong word from the predictive text options. Such as me/of; home/good/gone; Hamish/Hangsi...

I recently confused my missus by sending a message that claimed that I'd sent "26 e-mail" when I'd meant "an e-mail".

What's the term for that? I've heard of wordalikes, but that doesn't capture the havoc which ensues from using the wrong word. We need* something which is the equivalent of mondegreen. Is there such a term out there? Textegreen? T9apropism? Predick-up?

*Well, maybe "need" is too strong a term.
