I shouldn't say this as it is not in keeping with my true political leanings, but... I think it would be in the best interest of Haiti if the U.S. simply established a puppet government then set about building a new Haiti with real businesses and real jobs and change Haiti from being a highly impoverished third-world country to a player down there. Obviously, education, hospitals and other infrastructure would be a part of the equation as well.

Exploitation? Sure, it'll be part of the deal, but we're all exploited - it's the American way. It just seems to me that the Haitian people could start living real lives instead of living under the thumb of some a--hole dictator. What do you think?Cheers,..............harrison
