I mean no disrespect or lack of sympathy to the victims, but personally, prayer and good thoughts threads make me gag. Such solicitations reek of smarminess, of "put your hands on the radio and be saved" televangelism. Why not have a thread about the earthquake, and let people respond as they wish? I won't change the thread title unless the thread originator asks me to, but I would suggest that a thread title announcing the earthquake and its date would be more appropriate.
