I'm a bit (only a bit mind) surprised that nobody has mentioned last night's Roots @ The Roundhouse fRootsenanny gig. Did anybody else on M'cat go or watch the webcast? Around 12 amazingly good performances by top line artists including June Tabor & the Oyster Band, Martin Simpson, Billy Bragg, Jim Moray, Devon Sproule, Justin Adams, Mustaphas 3 and many more in a surprisingly intimate setting for a big venue. Very good sound, lights, video screens, the full modern works but it felt more like a folk club (with the best floor singers ever!) Morris dancing too!
